Electrical Wiring for the Home Owner

This class will cover the “introductory” skills needed to be successful in the next class in the series, Level II Advanced, and ultimately to pass the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification test. The following skills will be introduced: capturing data, calculating data by using formulas, managing data ranges, summarizing and analyzing data, formatting worksheet and chart content, and managing macros and user-defined functions.

Simply Understanding How to Draw

Woodworking for Beginners

This hands-on hobby class begins with instructio on shop and equipment safety, the correct use of tools and equipment, proper woodworking techniques, and project planning. Students will work to create a beautiful, finished wood project of their choosing. Required student-provided personal protective equipment: safety glasses, close-toed shoes or boots, gloves appropriate for working with wood and hand tools.

Painting Maine Woodland and Meadow Birds

Enjoy studying and painting several Maine woodland and meadow birds in this beginner watercolor class. Even if you‘ve been painting for a while it’s always easy to advance in this medium and become more confident in you skills. Seasons will be added to our paintings whether it’s a Nuthatch in the autumn or a Chickadee in the winter. Plenty of reference photographs will make the drawing easy and I will guide you with techniques that are also simple to understand and follow. This class has always been one of my favorites to offer.

Substitute Teacher Training I

Substitute teaching is a way to help your community while earning extra money. This workshop provides information about school expectations, teachers’ lesson plans, and assertive discipline. Persons who complete this course successfully may be enrolled as substitute teachers for SAD 17. (College degree preferred but not required.) Must advance register for either session.

Creating Art with Colored Pencils
